What it does · Placements and agreements

A placement is a student, a site, two supervisors and the paperwork that lets it start.

Kept together, with dates on everything that expires, so the question "can this student begin on Monday?" has an answer you can see.

A directory you build once

Your sites and the people who supervise there, kept from one cohort to the next.

  • Sites

The agency, its address, the kind of setting, and who to contact about placements.

  • Site supervisors

Each person, the license they hold, and the students they have had before.

  • Reused, not retyped

Placing next year’s student at the same agency is choosing from a list.

What has to be true before hours begin

Each line is checked when a placement is started, not discovered in week six.

NeededWho provides itIf it is missing or lapsed
An affiliation agreement in date The school and the site The placement cannot be started
A site supervisor who has accepted The site supervisor Nobody can sign, so hours wait unsigned
A faculty supervisor assigned The coordinator Nothing can be countersigned
A signed learning agreement Student and both supervisors Shown as outstanding on the cohort list
An insurance certificate, where you require one The school, site or student Shown as outstanding, with its expiry date

Dates that are watched for you

  • Sixty days ahead

The coordinator is told an agreement or certificate is going to expire, and again at thirty.

  • On the day

An expired agreement stops new placements at that site. Placements already running are flagged, not frozen.

  • A change of supervisor

What the first supervisor signed stays signed under their name. The new one signs from the handover on.

Questions about placements

Can a student have more than one placement?

Yes. Each has its own site, supervisors, dates and learning agreement, on one student record.

Can students find and apply to sites here?

Not yet. Today the coordinator assigns a placement, or a student working alone enters their own. Applications are planned after the directory.

Do you write our affiliation agreement?

No. You upload the agreement your institution uses; we hold it, its dates and who signed.

What does a site see?

A site supervisor sees their own students and nothing else about your program.

We will load a few with you and start one placement end to end.
