Acceptable use policy

What may not be done on TripleRoute, including recording hours that did not happen.

Version 2026-10-07.1 · All documents

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It exists to keep TripleRoute trustworthy — for the people relying on their records, and for the boards those records may be shown to.

You must not

Put client information at risk

  • Enter, upload or send anything that identifies a client or patient: names, initials used as identifiers, dates of birth, addresses, contact details, record or insurance numbers, photographs, psychotherapy notes, treatment plans or intake records.
  • Use TripleRoute as a clinical record or to store protected health information.

Falsify the record

  • Record hours, sessions or supervision that did not happen, or misstate their length, category or format.
  • Sign or attest to anything you have not genuinely reviewed or observed.
  • Ask, pressure or pay someone to attest to something untrue.
  • Misrepresent your identity, license, credentials, qualifications or standing.
  • Upload altered, forged or someone else's documents.

Misuse other people or their information

  • Harass, threaten, discriminate against or abuse anyone.
  • Collect, scrape or use other users' information except as the Service intends — for example, to contact supervisors outside the platform for unsolicited marketing.
  • Share access to a supervision record with anyone not entitled to it.

Undermine the Service or its security

  • Access accounts, records or systems you are not authorized to use, or probe, scan or test for vulnerabilities without our written permission.
  • Try to bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits or the controls that make sealed records tamper-evident.
  • Introduce malware, or upload files designed to exploit software.
  • Overload or disrupt the Service, or use automated means to access it except through interfaces we provide for that purpose.
  • Reverse-engineer, copy or resell the Service.

Break the law

  • Use TripleRoute for anything unlawful, or in breach of your professional or regulatory obligations.

Reporting

  • A security vulnerability: call +1 (701) 660-4778, or write to us at the address below, before disclosing it publicly. We welcome good-faith reports.
  • Misuse or a false record: call +1 (701) 660-4778 or write to us.
  • Client-identifying information entered by mistake: call +1 (701) 660-4778 and we will help remove it where the record is not sealed. Do not repeat the information itself when you contact us.

What we may do

If we believe this policy has been broken, we may remove content that is not part of a sealed record, suspend or remove a supervisor listing, restrict features, suspend or close an account, and, where the law requires or permits, report suspected fraud or unlawful conduct to the appropriate authorities or licensing board. Sealed records are not deleted, but may be marked with an amendment recording that they are disputed.
