How it works

Four steps, and the fourth is the one that matters.

Finding a supervisor is the part everyone thinks about. Proving what happened afterwards is the part that decides whether two years of work counts. TripleRoute is built around the second one.

  1. Step 01

Find a supervisor who can actually qualify you

Search by jurisdiction, profession, licensure pathway, specialty, approach and rate. Every listed supervisor has had their license checked before they appear, and each profile says which jurisdictions they can supervise into — so "can this person qualify me?" is answered before you write to them, not after three months of sessions.

Free, with no time limit. You should not have to pay to find out whether the right supervisor exists.

  2. Step 02

Agree the terms in writing, once

Format, frequency, rate, jurisdiction and pathway are settled in a supervision agreement that both people sign. It is the document that answers, later, what the two of you actually agreed — which is otherwise a memory of a conversation.

  3. Step 03

Log hours as you go, in two separate columns

Supervision hours and practice hours are counted separately and are never added together, because no licensing board treats them as interchangeable. Every hour carries a label saying how much it can be trusted: what you typed yourself, what your supervisor reviewed, what your supervisor was present for, and what TripleRoute observed directly.

  4. Step 04

    Have it attested, then sealed

At the end of each period, your supervisor reviews the hours and signs. The result is sealed with a digest chained to the previous one, and from that moment nobody can alter it — not you, not your supervisor, not an administrator, and not us. A board can be given the record and can check the chain themselves.

This is the whole point of the product. Everything before it exists to make this step mean something.

What happens when things go wrong

The awkward cases are the reason it is built this way.

Your supervisor leaves

A placement ending does not take your record with it. Sealed hours stay sealed and stay yours, and both parties keep permanent read and export access — a supervisor may be asked to account for a signature a decade later, and a supervisee should never have to ask a former supervisor for their own history.

Something was recorded wrongly

Sealed records are never edited. A correction is an amendment that sits alongside the original and preserves it, so the record shows both what was said and that it was corrected. A record that can be quietly rewritten is a record nobody should rely on.

Your supervisor stops paying

The workspace locks for both of you until it is settled — no new hours, sessions or messages. Your signed record does not lock: you can download it yourself at any time, without asking anybody. Nobody is separated from their own licensure evidence by an invoice they do not control.

The rules for your state change

Your relationship is measured against the rule version that was in force when it started, and stays pinned to it. A rule correction does not silently make you non-compliant on a Tuesday for reasons you cannot see.
