Category I (formal programs) At least 20 hours in each renewal cycle. 20 hours
First renewal If licensed for fewer than 24 months. 20 hours
Renewal cycle Every 2 years
Hours are due April 1 of even-numbered years
  • 20 hours are due in each year, at least 10 of them Category I.
  • Category II (self-directed) hours are optional and count for no more than 20 in a renewal cycle.
