- The jurisprudence examination is passed in every renewal period; passing it may be claimed as 1 hour of ethics.
- An LPC Associate license runs 60 months and is not renewed, so these hours do not apply to it.
- Every licensee also completes a human trafficking prevention course approved by Texas Health and Human Services as a condition of renewal.
