- Renewal is every other year, by June 30: a license approved in an odd year renews in odd years, and one approved in an even year in even years.
- No more than 20 hours online.
- No more than 10 hours each from presenting, counseling as a client, research, and peer supervision. An original presentation earns 5 hours for each hour presented.
- Somebody the board has approved to practice telehealth also completes 3 hours in telehealth at each renewal.
- One semester hour of coursework counts as 15 hours; one quarter hour as 10.
